Teviotdale Harriers Duck Race

The Duck Race took place on Sunday past in the burn next to Wilton Lodge Park Museum. The Flower Princess very kindly fired the gun to start the race and the release of the first set of ducks into the water. There were a number of different heats before a tense final. The winning duck was number 192 leaving youngster Connor Young the overall winner and proud recipient of a £50 note. 2nd place with a prize of £25 was Emma Saunders and 3rd place with a prize of £10 went to Edith Corbett. Many thanks to the all the helpers on the day and to those in the club that sold ducks. Thanks also to the flower princess and her attendants for their part in the day.
