How do I join the Harriers?

Fill out a form either online (see “Join the Club” on the website” or in person at training – speak to the Treasurer, Rory Anderson, for more details. More information about prices can be found on the website under “About THC” > ”Membership”.

When are the Club Races?

There is a schedule on the website, and members will be emailed a schedule at the start of the season. See the “Fixtures” tab on the website.

How do I sign up for a Club Race?

There will be an email sent out to all members 1-2 weeks before a race asking if you would like to run. You simply need to email the handicapper-  for runners under 13 years  email  alaninglis1968@gmail.com and for over 13 year olds and adults email thchandicapper@yahoo.com

Can non-members run in a race?

Yes, but they have to sign up beforehand.  They will be given a time but they will be ineligible to win club trophies or medals.

When is Junior Training?

Every Wednesday, 6-7pm in Teviot Church, 22 Buccleuch St, Hawick TD9 0HW. Training does not run during school holidays, and will be replaced occasionally with Time Trials in the summer term – please see the Fixtures section of the website for more details. Every adult at training is a volunteer – if you are interested in volunteering at junior training please contact donna inglis by email donnainglis@hotmail.co.uk

The weather is bad – what happens with Junior Training?

Check our facebook page for updates about the weather if you are concerned; Training has been cancelled in the past due to poor conditions, but this is rare. Runner safety will always be our priority, however!

When can my child start to run with the Harriers?

From Primary 3 onwards. We are unable to allow runners younger than this.

Where can I find past results for races?

Under the “Latest Results”, “Races” and “Archives” tab. 

Where are the Harriers Clubrooms?

The clubrooms are at 15a High Street which is a single storey white building in Round Close – Round Close is between Hawick Health Centre Car Park and the High Street.

Who runs the Harriers?

The Harriers are run by a dedicated committee that meets once a month.
