Derek and Jade McHugh tackled the Loch Ness Marathon on Sunday 23rd of September and the long journey was certainly worthwhile as Jade smashed her P.B.

The Father/Daughter duo followed months of dedicated training with just over four hours of dedicated running.
The Loch Ness Marathon follows a spectacular point-to-point route alongside the world famous Loch Ness, starting in an atmospheric moorland setting and continues through stunning Highland scenery, taking you along the south-eastern shores of Loch Ness, across the River Ness, to finish in Inverness, capital city of the Highlands.

Jade and Derek supported and encouraged each other through the entirety of the 26.2 miles and Jade stopped the clock at 4:16:08, taking 10 minutes off her previous best, with Dad Derek 4:16:09 next over the line.
