Teviotdale Harriers Jubilee races were held on Hawick Moor last Saturday. On a glorious sunny autumn afternoon five cross country races were competed in.
In race one for u/13 girls it was Ishbel Inglis who romped over the finish line to win in 14min 9sec with Emma Grieve second in 15min 29sec.
In the u/13 boys race Fraser Clyne led everyone home winning in the time of 13min 50sec, in second place it was Callum Murray (14:25) and third spot went to Jamie Waugh (14:29).
The u/17 boys race went down to the wire after two and a half miles of sapping cross country running Kyle Potts and Duncan Lockie, who set off together, crossed the line together in the time of 23min 44sec with Potts getting the decision by the thickness of his vest. In third spot was Jason Macintosh (24:15)
The senior ladies race run over the same course as the boys was won by Louise Mercer who sprinted home in the time of 24min 2sec, second to cross the finish line was Sylvia Grieve (24:43) and in third place was Donna Inglis (25:17)
The senior mens race run over three and a half miles on and around Hawick Moor was won by Bill Knox (28:00) with Craig Grieve (28:33) hot on his heels. In third place came Allan Inglis (28:46).
