East District XC league, Alloa 23/11/13

Saturday 23rd November was the date of the 2nd East District Cross Country League race held in Alloa in and around the grounds of Lornshill Academy. A quick look round the course revealed it to be challenging and hilly. The first race of the day for the Harriers was the u13 girls race covering a one lap route of 2,500 metres. First home was Connie Lothian in 13.54, 47th position with team mate Jenni Sharp next over the line in a time of 14.08, 48th position.

Next off was the u13 boys on the same route. Harriers had one runner Fraser Clyne who finished 23rd in a time of 11.08.

The senior ladies were next with Donna Inglis and Catriona Young lining up for the club. This was a two lap course covering 5,400 metres. First in was Donna Inglis in a time of 32.39, 75th position closely followed by Catriona Young 77th position in a time of 33.08.

Four juniors lined up next in the u15 boys and girls race. This race was also a two lap route covering 3,500 metres. For the boys Jamie Waugh was first Harrier to cross the line in 16.12, 33rd position. Then Joseph Tottman in 17.10, 38th position.

For the girls Ishbel Inglis came in first in a time of 17.20, 38th position then Emma Grieve in 19.39, 52nd position.

Final race of the day was the senior men event. A punishing 3 lap route of 8,000 Harriers had 4 runners in this race. First home Craig Grieve in 35.39, 84th position, next Alan Inglis 37.43, 126th then Alister Biggar 39.16, 153rd and President Alan Coltman 45.27, 207th.
