Penchrise Hill Race
Great event coming up as Teviotdale Harriers host the Penchrise Hill Race. With both a senior and junior races, this event is becoming a firm favourite in the Harriers calender.
16 years and over tackle the 8k route with 12 year old and over (on the 24th Sept) running a 5k route.

Walker Runs To Fastest Time In Britain
Local running legend Alastair ‘Sammy’ Walker continued his recent running renaissance by impressively claiming the fastest V60 5k time in Britain this year.
Competing at the recent Quayside 5k organised by Gateshead Harriers, Sammy finished first in the over 60’s category in an astonishing 17:35, smashing the record time in the process.
Finishing 60th overall in the race seemed fitting for veteran Sammy who on his Strava feed declared, “Fastest V60 time in UK 2017, mission accomplished.”
