Time Trial 1
Well done to all the runners at the time trial last night. We had 41 athletes┬átaking part on a cold and windy evening – who called it the summer time trial series?
27 juniors took part over the 1.5 mile course and recorded 19 personal bests, excellent result despite the conditions. Fastest runner on the night was Ishbel Inglis in a time of 10 minutes and 18 seconds. Fastest boy was Sam Allot in a time of 10 minutes and 28 seconds. It’s great to see all the hard work that the kids put in over the winter training paying off with improved times.
14 seniors ran the time trial route of 2.7 miles round Martin’s Bridge. 6 recorded personal best times with Kyle Potts knocking off and impressive 1 minute and 6 seconds from his previous best. Rory Anderson was the fastest runner in a time of 14 minutes and 39 seconds just 22 seconds of the course record held by Stewart Fraser. He’ll surely get closer as the summer progresses and the running conditions improve. Fastest lady was Pam Paxton in a time of 20 minutes and 31 seconds.
