Our Club

Welcome to the website of Teviotdale Harriers. Teviotdale Harriers are proud to be the 3rd oldest running club in Scotland, having been constituted in January 1889 (Clydesdale Harriers 1885 and Maryhill Harriers 1888 preceded us). The Harriers were formed with the underlying objective of expanding the sporting life of Hawick, with the emphasis on cross-country running.

Teviotdale Harriers are devoted to the active promotion and development of athletics and strive to share our appreciation of competitive running or informal fitness development. We aim to bring people together from all parts of the Hawick community, to move in the same positive direction. We work to provide a family orientated, happy, healthy, enthusiastic atmosphere to run and socialize whilst supporting the community and local schools. We hope to use our passion for running to build friendships, provide encouragement and improve ourselves with no regard to age, cultural differences, gender, pace or experience. Our goal is to learn and grow through our shared experience and to leave no runner behind.

Teviotdale Harriers intentions are to:

  • Encourage and support improvement in the athletic capabilities of all our members.
  • Provide coaching in a safe and secure environment.
  • Provide competitive opportunities for all members, on an individual and team basis, in both club events and District/National levels.

Join us on a Wednesday evening 6pm – 7pm at Teviot Church, St Georges Lane, Hawick.

NEW MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN.
